Recruiting plan for Spring Semester of 2017

 
 The plan of Korean Language Courses at Tallinn King Sejong Institute (KSI)

 Tallinn KSI is planning to offer 4 elementary-level, 4 intermediate-level, and 2 advanced-level Korean language courses in the long term.

 In regards of the elementary-level offerings, the 2017 Spring Semester plan and the proposed recruiting procedure are as follows:

 * It is not allowed for students to switch the classes within the same course after full enrolment.

6 Start the lectures of Spring semester 31 January (Tue), 2017
7 Registration in ÕIS (if applicable) Before 10 February (Fri) 2017
8 Finalizing the list of students enrolled By 10 February (Fri) 2016

 

 - In mid-November 2016, all relevant recruiting information is to be posted on Tallinn KSI official website with application form attached.  
- The processing of the applications is to be commenced from on 5 December (Mon) 2016, at 11am.
- The list of successful applicants (150%) is published on Tallinn KSI official website on 21 December (Wed) 2016. 
- The second application process for TUT students (20%) is to be commenced from 25 January
- The list of successful applicants (100%) as well as the waiting list (20%) are published on Tallinn KSI official website on 6 February (Mon) 2017.
- The lectures of spring semester be started on 31 January (Tue) 2017
- All successful applicants should register via Tallinn University of Technology’s ÕIS.
- The final list of students will be formalized in 2-week time after commencing the course.
- All students enrolled for a Korean Language course proceed for studying it free of charge.
 

 The conditions of successful enrolment for students <선발 조건>

 The successful applicants’ list is to be completed on the ‘first come – first served’ basis in accordance with the order of applications.
 - The waiting list is to be made for the applicants in those groups where the limit is exceeding the maximum number.
 - Those prospective applicants who wish to study Korean language at Tallinn KSI for more than 2 years in a row will be given priority during the enrolment process.
 - Those applicants, who will not be able to carry on their continuous studies of Korean language at Tallinn KSI for less than 2 semesters in a row, may not be given the right to enroll for the class.
 - Those applicants, who will have sent their incomplete application, may not be given the right to enroll for the class.
 - A former drop-out of Tallinn KSI, may not be given the right to enroll for the class.

- Qualification of prospective applicants <지원 조건>
- All Tallinn-based high-school students and all adult people residing in Estonia are eligible to apply for studying at Tallinn KSI.
- For every course starting from ‘Elementary 2’, only those who successfully completed the previous level of study are fully eligible to apply for studying on a higher level. On request, an applicant who never completed the previous level of study must take a placement test to determine his/her level of knowledge of Korean language and, ultimately, to make a decision on admission.
 

 The absence from class <결석에 관한 조건>

 - If a student, already enrolled for ‘Elementary 1’, is absent even one day during the first 2  week period of studies, he may lose the right to continue his/her studies at Tallinn KSI.
 - In addition to the above situation, if a student, already enrolled for any level of studies, is absent for more than 2 times in a row, he/she may lose the right to continue his/her studies at Tallinn KSI.

 

 Enrolment procedure for the waiting list students <대기자 등록절차>

 - The waiting list students can attend classes for the first 2-week period of the Semester.
 - Students from the waiting list will immediately fill out vacant seats during the aforementioned 2-week period of the Semester.
 - The instructor will be notifying students on the matters related to enrollment.

 

 Completion certificate of Tallinn KSI & University credits. <수료 조건>

 - The completion certificate of Tallinn KSI will be awarded to students who are in 80% of attendance rate or more, and in 60% of academic scores or more.
 - And university credits would be granted to all the holders of completion certification.
